OMBRE HAIR?

Have you heard of the new trend that has swept the entertainment industry? Its funny to me that people hop on trends just because "famous people" began to sport them and make them famous (again).  Well call me late, but I recently decided to do research on the term called "OMBRE HAIR"!  Come to find out I used to rock my hair that way back in 2007. (see proof below...lol). However a lot of people are now coning the term and wearing there hair this way...  I used to think I was called letting your color grow out.. The technique is usually done with blondish highlights that give the hair a lighter effect on the bottom or tips. However, some people also achieve this look by, just dying the back half -under the occipital bone- portion of there hair... I've worn my hair like that as well.. (you'll just have to take my word on that one... I dont have the picture proof...lol)
Anyway you decide! Is it a hit or a miss...  Will you or have you worn your tresses like this?

NATURAL BEAUTY PIC PICK (JOY)

Joy will be our FIRST women who is Natural, that chooses to wear her hair LOCKED... The name of the  Styl, that she sports, are called "DREADS" (pics featured below)

Joy made the decision to "go Natural" after investing years of time and money into salons.  Which to say the least left her hair very damaged!  Rather than spend money on weaving techniques, relaxers
-which leaves many people with damaged hair-  Joy begun research before staring her journey, by reading books on locs maintenance, consulting friends, and professionals.  All in all her choice was an easy one.  Joy's current attempt at going natural, begun in 2008, when she learned that she was excepting her first child.  She like myself was against relaxing during pregnancy.  Seeing how it is a "chemical process".

Joy learned that maintaining her locs herself, is what works best for her.  "I love my locks because they are ME"!!!! Says Joy.  When I asked her way she went Natural, she replied...
"I went natural simply because I LOVE my natural hair.

Joy also input,  that she would love for [styl asylum] to mention more products and tips for/about Natural Hair.  Because she understands that she, like most Natural women are at a constant product battle with their journey. "Usually the rule is Natural products for natural hair". Says Joy!
"I would like to learn more about loc products, natural hair products, and ways of styling."

Joy, THANK YOU SO MUCH JOY.  I know this post will help a lot of women.

NATURAL BEAUTY PIC PICK (Hsia F.)
Today's Natural Beauty Pick is Ms. Hsia... I sought her out via Facebook... requesting to use her for this blog post.  I loved how Hsia wears her hair... In her photos you can see how comfortable she is in sporting her natural mane, and that's really what its all about. Feeling good within and knowing that your hair is healthy is very important... When asked why she choose to start her Natural Journey she had this to say:

"I needed a change; my hair was so unhealthy!
Short or long hair I dont care I just want it healthy!  My boyfriend really was my biggest supporter in my decision in becoming natural. Because in November 2009. After my curls popped up I felt frew and started on my healthy hair journey"... (H. Franklin)

THANKS HSIA "NATURAL GIRL"...YOU ROCK!!!

My plan is to showcase Beautiful Courageous women wearing their hair in many different Natural styles

NATURAL BEAUTY PICK PIC (PARISTINA)
I'm on a role huh!!! YES, and I love it!!!
TODAY'S picture is from Natural Beauty Paristina Ross.
Paristina, like Andrea wears her hair rather short. One reason Natural women choose the short mane is for EASY maintenance. Because believe me, when you aren't experienced with untamed hair...it will take some getting used to. BUT it IS all worth it!!! THANK YOU AUNTIE!!!  "Natural Girl" You ROCK!!!

NATURAL CURLS FOR NATURAL GIRLS
Hey Ladies, Its EBONIE here... (Yep, don't be surprised if you see me post here as well. I was always a HAIR STYLIST before venturing into the MADE-UP world.) LOL

Anywhooo, Today I have a product review.  On "MIXED SILK" By Silk Elements "Natural Curls, for Natural Curls".

I came across this product after seeing someone have it on YouTube... I decided to try it because I am NATURAL and have been wearing it as such for a while.  This product did exactly what the info said: It made my hair SOFT and MANAGEABLE even after I washed it out!  I didn't buy the shampoo, and I hear they have a "leave-in" conditioner... If it it works like this deep conditioner did for me... "I'm buying it"...lol.  #TruthIs the first time I used this product I DID use it as a "LEAVE-IN" but even then I noticed a difference and that it was worth the money.
TRY IT!!! You will NEVER know UNTIL you DO :)))
