This eye-shadow palette is a cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay Naked Palette... My 1st thoughts when I saw this palette was cookies and cream, (the candy bar). Of coarse NAKED ran through my mind... I mean its like a clear clean knock off... The brand "Balm" stands well on its own, so I dont understand the point of such the blatant bite. Either way. It IS cheaper than the NAKED palette and the Naughty package is WAY cool... with its risky almost "NUDE" girls...hiding behind to eye-shadows each...lol

Here's a bit. If you like MAC eye-shadows... I'm telling you, that you will love Inglot eye-shadows. The only downfall is that they don't have standing stores everywhere, as it is a Polish (Poland) brand. The closest store to the Metropolitan area is New York and New Jersey.
However, I check out a lot of Youtube'rs and Bloggers pages for swatches... If you look, you will see why...lol. The website is still fairly new, and its hard to depict what colors are what.
Jumping into the purpose of this post....
I received two of my orders today, well tonight at 10pm.. (say what!!!) Yep, and I'm still waiting on a few. Because of the Free Shipping and No Tax...I was able to make separate purchases over the course of the week. HA! I cant wait until the rest arrive. When they do I will do an update. Update 12-13-2011
Another Arrival
So Inglot must have been back up because it took them the longest time ever to send out my orders... I placed these two on November 30, and December 3rd... and they JUST arrived December 13th... (after FedEx delivered my package next door... SMH) Any-who, I am currently waiting on one final package...which is the smallest one!
Well below are pictures and descriptions of the newest arrivals.
I have no clue as to why my pictures are flipped, or even how to flip them correctly...SMH
But the above picture is both of the orders, because they came on the same day.
This is what Inglot is known for. NAIL POLISHES...Ooops excuse me. Their "breathable" Nail Enamel. Apparently its the only nail polish that allows your nails to breath... This polish retails for a whopping $14 a bottle... But, it's A GIFT... and my mother is worth it! I bought two bottle because I didn't know what they would actually look like.
This is a concealer palette... Well actually this is my "corrector palette" which works like concealer... During the sale the palette cost $8.40 and each corrector was $3.40.
Powder Quad Palette
I was searching for this palette all over -after seeing it on FB- (in some random person pictures)... I even called the store in NY. Which they claimed, they didn't have it. So I contact them via website..lol
Low-and-behold- This palette became available!!!! It was there -online- during the cyber sale.... and, now its not...lol ((shrugs)) IDK, whats going on but, Glad I took advantage of that sale!
I will fill this palette over-time,... as collecting and starting palettes have become a new-found-hobby...
The palette was about $18 (with 15% off).. each powder will cost $12
Powder, Blush, and Shadow Palette
I decided to buy this palette -for personal use- to test out their blushes and I needed a new powder... Whatever I've been using is breaking me out. (#LadiesKNOWyourPRODUCTS)
The palette was $11.90, the blush was $8.50, and the powder was $10.20. (all with 15% off)
This is a lip palette... During the sale it was $8.50. and each lipstick pan was $3.40! This is also a gift!!!

(In my Kit...Urban Decay Naked Palette)
LET'S GET NAKED (W/ URBAN DECAY... EYE SHADOW PALETTE)
This palette is filled with 12 neutral shades of eye shadow.
I must admit, I do like this palette! It's one of the palettes that I carry in my professional makeup artist kit. This e/s palette is so cool...So cool, that I find myself going into my pro kit to use these shadows myself. I usually wear Amber Lights from MAC. But, with this palette I'm able to create more than one shimmer looking, natural look. The main downfall about this palette is that it only contains two matte e/s. The other issue with this palette is that some of the shades are "crumbly". So because of that the glitter and the fall out does not mix... It becomes a issue if you are sensitive to debris in your eyes. Or if you are a contact wear like myself But aside from the lack of matte shades and fall out. It's over all a good palette. If you're willing to drop fifty bucks on it. I ordered mine online at Ulta.com. It came with a brush and a famous UD Primer Potion... (let's save the Primer Potion for another blog review)

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES!!!
Long time no blog. SORRY! Well I've noticed that I've been posting about brushes lately. That's because along with makeup I am obsessed with makeup BRUSHES. We all know my most used brand may be from SIGMA... That's right NOT even MAC.
Well today's post is about CLEANING your makeup brushes BEFORE you use them...for the first time!
I'm just going to tell you a number of ways that I use to disinfect my brushes for FIRST use, and after each client.
NOTE: You do NOT have to go out and purchase anything specific...
FIRST WASH/ DEEP CLEANING:
First, lay down a towel.
Next have luke warm running water. Holding the brush at an angle, place the bristle end underneath the running water. (Be sure NOT to submerge the brushes under the water... only the bristles may get wet)
Turn off the water...
Using, DAWN Dish Detergent (mild soap or baby shampoo will work too). Pour a TINY amount in the palm of your hand. (YOU ONLY NEED A DAB...using to much with cause the brushes to suds way too much, making it harder to rinse out!)
Dab each brush ONE by one in the Dawn Detergent (I REPEAT***DO NOT pick up to much soap ..lol)
After you have tapped each brush lightly in the Dawn, Turn the water back on... (luke warm)
NOW its time to rinse...
Holding the brushes at an angle... work the brush back and forth in the palm of your opposite hand. Do this until the bristle are suds free... This may take a LONG time on bigger brushes.
Once you're done rinsing all of your brushes... find a way to dry your brushes with your bristle end pointed down ward...
here is a cool way... use rubber bands to attach brushes to a towel rack
or you could buy this "Dry n Shape" from SigmaBeauty.com
OR, just lay them flat on a towel, with one end folded under for height.
Cover them with a to keep them free of debris.
To add... In between each use, (for my personal brush set.) I do a lot of spot cleaning. After each use... I submerge the bristles in a cap of 99% alcohol and work the product out by working the bristles back and forth on a towel.
Lay them flat and covered.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now you're DONE!

Ask anyone on Youtube.com about these brushes and they would tell you that they are the BEST. Ask me...and I can only give you the truth! You may even hear,... right off that these brushes are comparable to MAC... yes you read right. "MAC quality brushes, without MAC prices" SMH I dont know if I will go that far... However they ARE, decent brushes:)
Truth be told. I DO, have quite a few SIGMA Brushes in my Brush Belt. I have not purchased, the 12pc brush set. Because I didnt NEED them all. The few that I did purchase I wasn't impressed by. There is this ONE though... BOY oh BOY SOFTEST BRUSH EVER...feels like leather on the skin. (STOP: I'm NOT reviewing that brush today...lol)
I ordered the travel brush set for my "personal kit" I wanted some new brushes. Honestly, I was very intrigued by all the rave on Youtube. So I got these... Below is a pic of what the closed Travel case looks like.. Also a indiviual picture of EACH brush!
Note: The case ISN'T but "feels" very leather like!

That's right, you read the title correctly! Maybelline has come up with a product that may have a lot of women who wear FALSE lashes, running to the nearest drugstore. WHY? You ask... A mascara that FINALLY gives you the ALL the drama that false lashes create, minus the application process. Genius! Its already apart of my kit. :)

Kim Kardashian's Smokey Eye
Kim K. is famous for a lot of her looks... One of the looks that her name is more synonymous with is the SMOKEY EYE. There are many ways to achieve this look... the easiest is start by simply lining your top and lower lash line. After you've done that simply smudge that liner to surround your eyes. As thick as you want. Then use a great mascara. Be sure to apply your eye shadow first.

As you can see, I still have a bit of room...lol! I have divided my trays into logical sections... Such as: FACE, EYES and LIPS... This case is perfect for ANY artist who LOVES pure organization. In the bottom (Is where I will house my pallets (Like the one from BHCosmetics).. and other items such as: a mirror, mixing pallet, boxed lashes, brushes and a brush belt. Also I will include "emergency HAIR essentials" a mini dryer, mini curler, and a mini, flat iron (to name a few). The empty tray that you see is where my "other items" will go. "Others" like a Cape (for client protection) a Black Smock (when I'm NOT in all black) and disposables like Cotton Balls, Q-tips. I LOVE IT!!!.. Hola Beauties!!! Ebb here. Today I bring you yet another haul... I shop at MAC quite often, actually, more often then I should...smh. Its so bad that I send the BF (boyfriend) in the store for me...lol. Today I "Back2MAC" some of my empty containers. (when you turn in 6 empty containers you are able to get a free tube of lipstick) So like I said, I sent my BF into the store today, the site was down so I wasn't able to choose the color of free lipstick I wanted so I left it up to chance, letting the BF and the sales associate choose for me. No worries, I knew that I wanted a backup to my Lady "Gaga II". So the lady that helped Calvin aka the BF chose "Creme D'Nude". I also purchased (or what was purchased for me...lol) was Cream eyeshadow base and another eyeshadow to add to my 15pan palette.

Face Charts Brought to LIFE!!!
On our HOME page we made a post of a Prom Sendoff, that we recently took part in. During consultation, with Senior (Essence J.) we discussed her attire and what looks might work best. We wanted something different that NO other Makeup Artist would be trying this year (so now they have to play catch up!..lol) Anywhooo... Essence was willing to take on this look that we call "MODERN PIN-UP". So, Instead of the traditional black winged eye, we tested PURPLE and instead of and instead of the usual red lip I made a HOT PINK mixture that CAN NOT be found in stores...ENJOY!

The seller is online at Ebay, You can find this palette, online at Coastal Scents, BHCosmetics, Yazmo, and even Joya Cosmetics. I'm thinking about buying a few of them and selling them myself...lol.
Raise your hand if you're a YOUTUBE'R, such as myself ::raises hands:: I must admit, that I spend HOURS of my time searching and researching things on Youtube... This is one of the items that I was convinced into buying. (For the record I HAVE PURCHASED THIS WITH MY OWN MONEY. I DO NOT WORK FOR BHCOSMETICS OR ANY OF THE OTHERS SITES I HAVE PREVIOUSLY LISTED) Now with that said... I purchased this as a backup for my makeup kit making sure that I have EVERY color needed when I'm on a gig... It's more compact then carrying around a bunch of eye-shadows, and safer than having my more expensive shadows crumble during travel. Lord knows, that's happened to me WAY TOO many times! SMH

from left to right (white, red, yellow, orange, green, pink, black, purple, blue, brown)
As you can see these eye-shadows are quite pigmented. Here I have swatched just a few of the MATTE colors. Because Shimmers almost always show.. I was surprised at how RED the red color really was... ::gasp:: even the black... I applied them here using a cotton swap. So imagine what they would look like using a base and a brush..lol
